At the Poor Farm

September 2, 2016

We spent the morning riding much of the Shenandoah Skyway.  It was a beautiful and peaceful drive.  Everything was lush and green and we kept wishing we could return in a few weeks for fall color.  Our picnic spot was really beautiful and we took a few photos.
After our lunch we began the drive to Patrick Munley's mountain home.  We crossed three mountains, with the last being the most exciting with many hairpin turns and 9% grades.  We were thankful we had not chosen to come in the motorhome!

When we finally arrived we were warmly greeted by Pat and Donna.  Pam and Jim Poist, and Rod and Loretta Roderiques were already there.   Gwenda and Larry Alexander arrived later that evening.  We were shown to our room and tried to bring in only what we really needed.  The dog kennel took up a lot of room.
